Bank of Marin Selects Local High School Photographers for Annual Calendar
Community Calendar Features Student Work from Marin, Sonoma, Napa & Alameda
NOVATO, CA – (November 16, 2016) – Bank of Marin has announced the names of 16 students from 12 local high schools whose photography is featured in the Bank’s 2017 community calendar. This marks the seventh year in a row that Bank of Marin has worked with photography teachers and students at North and East Bay high schools to select images for the calendar. Students submitted over 150 images, and judges at the Bank made the final photo selections.
“We believe strongly in supporting and encouraging our local youth,” said Russell A. Colombo, President and CEO of Bank of Marin. “Our annual calendar allows us to showcase their talents and also to give back to the schools that help educate them.”
This year’s featured student photographers are:
- Alameda High School – Buzor Obiorah
- Casa Grande High School, Petaluma – Michael Quinto
- Justin-Siena High School, Napa – Nils Waterfield
- Marin Catholic High School, Kentfield – Alexa Barnes, Charlotte Coan and Maren Altvater
- Napa High School – Angelica Vance
- Novato High School – Madison Baldwin
- San Rafael High School – Nancy Martinez
- Sonoma Academy – Emma Kallman
- Sonoma Valley High School – Lorne Baskin and Yoselin Camacho
- St. Joseph Notre Dame High School, Alameda – David Kresge
- Tamalpais High School, Mill Valley – Eva Brazer
- Terra Linda High School – Frankie Berta and Devon Stapleton
Bank of Marin will donate $100 to each participating high school’s photography program for the purchase of supplies and equipment. The 2017 community calendars will be available for free at all Bank of Marin branches.
