Providing exceptional service is in her DNA
If you ask Sara Seyyedin what’s made her 37-year banking career possible—30 with American River Bank and Bank of Marin—she’ll tell you it’s the genuine joy she feels coming to work every day and helping her customers and team succeed. “I love my people,” exclaimed Sara. “Taking care of my clients and my team brings me joy.”
If you ask those she helps or leads, “What makes Sara unique?” you’ll hear all about her enthusiasm, passion for helping people, nurturing nature, and dedication to empowering those she meets.
Sara’s personality is larger than life. Her warm smile greets all who enter the Bradshaw Branch in Rancho Cordova where Sara has worked as a teller, financial service officer, assistant branch manager, and—for the last 22 years—branch manager.
After a two-year career hiatus, Sara was ready to rejoin the workforce. At the recommendation of a friend and restaurateur, Sara applied to then-American River Bank, a local community bank known for its exceptional service. She joined the bank in 1992 and the rest, as they say, is history. “I have loved every minute of it,” said Sara.
Sara has volunteered with American River Bank Foundation, Kiwanis Club of Rancho Cordova, and Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce. She’s been recognized with numerous awards including volunteer of the year, and American River Bank’s All Star Branch Leader and CEO awards, twice. Being of service to others comes naturally to Sara. Perhaps, she suggests, her knack for delivering legendary service is part of her DNA. A proud Iranian, Sara says, “Hospitality is part of my culture. I will always do whatever it takes to ensure everyone feels welcomed.”
It was Sara’s demeanor that caught Bradshaw Customer Service Supervisor Jigna Patel’s attention. “I wanted to grow in certain areas of my career, and knew that Sara would be the right person to help me do that. She has been a fantastic mentor to so many of us.”
Sara’s advice to others interested in cultivating a strong workplace culture: trust each other, have each other’s back, be a mentor, be flexible, always do what’s right, work collaboratively, and lastly, follow through on your commitments.
