Fraudsters claiming to be from Wells Fargo are contacting Bank of Marin customers to verify Zelle activity.

FRAUD ALERT-BEWARE – Fraudsters claiming to be from Wells Fargo are contacting Bank of Marin customers and requesting to verify Zelle activity. The fraudsters are asking customers to initiate a test transaction via their Bank of Marin Online Banking Account, with a promise that the funds would not be transferred out of their account. Additionally, fraudsters are promising that Wells Fargo will reimburse funds in the event that money is transferred during the “test” transaction. THIS IS A SCAM.
