Bank of Marin Announces Doug Murray as Vice President, Private Banker
Novato, CA – Banking Veteran Doug Murray has joined Bank of Marin as Vice President, Private Banker for the southern Marin region. Mr. Murray has 30 years of extensive experience in customer relationship banking, most recently with Wells Fargo Bank in Sonoma County. Mr. Murray has wide experience in commercial real estate lending, small business lending, and personal banking in the North Bay. As Bank of Marin Private Banker for southern Marin, Mr. Murray will be based in Corte Madera and Sausalito until the Bank’s new Greenbrae branch is completed in late 2009, where he will relocate. He will focus on retirement planning and lending needs for owners of local businesses, professionals, real estate investors, and individuals.

    Born and raised in Greenbrae, Mr. Murray represents the third generation of Murray’s in Marin County banking dating back to his grandfather, who was President of First National Bank of San Rafael and his uncle, Bill Murray, the founder of Bank of Marin. Mr. Murray’s great grandfather, Adam Murray, operated a lumber yard in San Rafael in the mid-1800s and built many Victorian homes, including the charming Boyd Gate House on B Street, now home to the Marin History Museum.
